Christopher David Perry

January 29, 1962 – June 3, 2026

Christopher David Perry, affectionately known as Chris, was born on January 29, 1962, in Sacramento, California, to Malcolm and Irene Perry.

In 1963, Chris moved with his parents to Springfield, Massachusetts, where he attended Springfield public schools. In 1975, the family relocated to Connecticut following his father’s job transfer, and Chris continued his education there until 1977. Later that year, the family made their final move to Marietta, Georgia, where Chris attended Walton High School. It was there that he formed many of the lifelong friendships he treasured throughout his life.

After graduating in 1979, Chris briefly attended Kennesaw State College before discovering his true calling as an electrician. He worked for several companies before establishing his own business. As a self-employed Master Electrician, Chris built a respected reputation through decades of residential and commercial electrical work across Georgia.

Chris had a lifelong passion for boxing. He trained and competed as an amateur boxer for many years and proudly participated in several Golden Gloves tournaments. He was also an avid motorsports enthusiast, especially when it came to drag racing. His love of fast cars began at an early age and remained one of his greatest passions throughout his life.

A devoted animal lover, Chris cared deeply for a wide variety of pets over the years, including reptiles, exotic animals, birds, and dogs. His favorite breed was the Boxer, and every Boxer he owned was considered a cherished member of the family.

Chris was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Irene Martinez Perry. He is survived by his children, Tinondre Chavez and Allysa Cook; his father, Malcolm Perry; his brother, Malcolm “Touché” “Andre” Perry; as well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, lifelong friends, and all those whose lives were enriched by his friendship, kindness, and generosity.

Chris will be remembered for his independent spirit, strong work ethic, love of family and friends, passion for boxing and racing, and the deep affection he showed to every animal fortunate enough to be in his care. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
