Mr. Kevin Lyron James

It is with deepest sympathy that we announce the passing of Mr. Kevin Lyron James, age 59, of Conyers, Georgia, who entered into his eternal rest on July 27, 2025.  Arrangements will be announced at a later date.

On July 27th, Kevin L. James, beloved father, son, brother, and friend, passed away at the age of 59.

Kevin was born on December 8th, 1965 in Chicago, IL. 

He graduated high school from Oak Park River Forest and later joined the United States Military-Army. After 12 years in the military, he and his family settled in Atlanta, GA where Kevin started a career with the US Postal Service. Kevin worked for the Post Office for 28 years and in that time he was always known as a man who carried himself with dignity and respect. He had a very strong work ethic and instilled this into his children. Beyond his work, Kevin loved enjoying life, he was an avid golfer, Chicago stepper, concert goer, skater and foodie. He was a music LOVER, a house head.

Family was ultimately the center of Kevin’s life. He was a devoted father to Kailyn Mance (Kelton Mance) and Carrington James. He loved their mother, Ebony James, very much. He was a loyal brother to 2 sisters, and a loving uncle to 5 nieces and nephews . He is survived by his mother. He was preceded in death by his father and brother. He leaves behind a close extended family whom he loved dearly.

Kevin will be remembered for his generous spirit and bright smile(complete with deep dimples). His presence brought warmth to those around him, and his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched.
