Mrs. Etta Mitchell

It is with deepest sympathy that we announce the passing of Mrs. Etta Mitchell, who entered into her eternal rest on February 2, 2025.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Gate City Church 1446 Calvin Davis Circle Lawrenceville, Georgia 30043.

With profound sadness the Outland, Sirleaf, Sherman and Mitchell families announce the death of our beloved relative, Etta Outland Sirleaf Mitchell, at 76 years old. This sad event
occurred on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Northside Hospital in Lawrenceville, Georgia, USA. She was born on August 23,1948 unto Joseph L. Outland, Sr. and Etta Richards in
Monrovia, Liberia. Etta was blessed with the spiritual gift of service, exemplified by her willingness to do what was needed for the well-being of others, often putting their needs before
hers. She was a committed Christian and a member in good standing at City Gate Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Her home was an incubator for her children along with their
friends, her siblings, and extended family. Etta was outgoing and enjoyed every leisure moment that life afforded. Etta was a fashionista, fantastic dancer, and the life of the party.
Etta is survived by her five children: Cassius Sirleaf (Barbara), Zoe Padmore (Preston), Ciata Sirleaf, William Sherman (Kimberly), and Joetta Mitchell Leonidas (Sledge); twelve
grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, relatives and friends. Etta’s parents predeceased her: Mr. Joseph L. Outland, Sr., Miss Etta Richards (biological mother),
as well as Mrs. Annie Thorpe-Outland (step mother). She was also predeceased by her siblings: Rebecca, Joseph, Marie,
