It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Henrietta Burton, age 90, who entered into her eternal rest on November 11, 2023.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 12:00 Noon in The Evelyn Samples Shelton Memorial Chapel of Hanley Shelton Funeral Home..

Henrietta Burton, 90, residing in Woodstock GA, made her transition to glory Saturday, November 11, 2023 in the home of her loving daughter.

Henrietta was born February 9, 1933 in Selma, Alabama to the union of Dave Washington Hattie (Colston) Washington.

Henrietta leaves to rejoice in many memories, daughter, Elvira Jackson; God-daughter, Judith Hatch; adopted grand daughters Maria Hatch, and Latasha Hatch-Nunn, devoted nephew/son Andrew Washington and his devoted wife Lillian Washington; nurturing granddaughter Phelica Thompson; loving grandson in love Travin Thompson; compassionate great-grandchildren Taevin and Tariyah Odums; bonus great-grandchildren Elijah Gray, Isaiah and Travin Thompson; special nieces and nephews, David Washington, Rose (Franklin) Churchwell, Deborah Marshall, Emanuel (Thelma) Washington, Viola Washington, Yolanda and Kevin (Willie) Johnson, Eric (Tata) Washington, Tabitha Washington, Cedric Washington, and Jarvis (Tasha) Washington; a host of additional nieces and nephews; and devoted friends Inez Allen and Mahalia Brown. 

In addition to her parents, Henrietta was preceded in death by her husband, Morgan Burton; devoted niece, Mildred Washington; and siblings, Geraldine, Martha, David, Ulysses, Christine, Mamie, Rozelia, Hattie, and Viola. God son Isaac Hatch Sr, adopted grandson Isaac Hatch Jr.
