Mrs. Latisha Thompson Bynum

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Latisha Thompson Bynum, age 54, of Chamblee, Georgia, who entered into her eternal rest on September 26, 2023.  A Viewing will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Donald Trimble Mortuary 1876 Second Avenue Decatur, Georgia..     Hanley Shelton Funeral Home, Marietta.

Latisha Thompson was born August 6th, 1969 in Brooklyn, New York to Barbara Wade. At the age of 6 she moved to Los Angeles, California to be cared for by Christine ‘Aunt Chris’ Robinson. She attended El Camino Real Senior High and graduated in 1987. In 1989, Latisha gave birth to her first child, David Moss on September 22nd. She studied Nursing and Public Speaking at Southwest College. Latisha continued living life, got married, then gave birth to her second child, Chari Lakey, on October 10th, 1994. Once Latisha got divorced it was time to take the world by storm. She got her kids, moved to Atlanta, Georgia, started working in Real Estate, and set the city on fire. Latisha used her full of life personality to meet business owners, celebrities, and entrepreneurs who would entrust her to manage their real estate and business affairs. In 2006, she met Shondell Bynum and started a long lasting relationship. They got married on December 13th, 2014, and continued an unwavering marriage for 10 years!

Many family and friends know Latisha for being the life of the party, or the person you call when you are in need. Whether it was business she was familiar with or not, she knew who to call, because of the amazing relationships she gained over the course of her life. In her will she states, “I want everyone to remember how much I love them, and gave my heart to them. We shall meet again. Love Latisha Bynum”

She is survived by her husband Shondell Bynum, two children David Moss and Chari Lakey. Her grandson Riley Lakey-Jones. Two brothers, Christopher ‘Jimmy’ Spence and William Wade. Her cousin and best friend, Tamiyka Anderson, Sorita Hicks and Lorraine Mcclanahan-Brown. Her nieces and nephews, Monique, Monet, Mariah, CJ Spence, and Sydney Wade. Great nieces and nephews, Alex Rodriguez, Zayne and MIla. Also survived by many cousins and a host of beautiful friends.
